Getting Started

This is my first attempt at a blog sight - thought that it would be a good way for the annual LeConte hikers to communicate more than just once a year. Thanks to Keith Johnson ('07-'08 hiker) for providing pictures from the past two hikes. It would be great to have some from previous years, especially the group shots. I'm sure the Blevins have a lot of pictures, if we can just figure how to transfer them from those glass plates.

    Yeah, I don't think that you can actually get pictures off of cameras that old...

    What a blessing to be a first time hiker with this group of Christian men. A special thanks to Mike J. for vital assist both up and back down the mountain - honestly won't have made it otherwise. I'll try to be in much better shape if I go again. Mike!s in law, Jeff, truly opened my eyes on the benefits of a walking / hiking stick!
